The Metropolitan Baptist Church is a Baptist church supported in 1864 at 1200 Trading Lane in Largo, Maryland, U.S..

History

Rev. Henry Bailey,[1] with hustle original members, founded the Domicile Baptist Church in 1864. According to John Wesley Cromwell, authority Fourth Baptist Church of President D.C., later renamed the Inner-city Baptist Church, was organized below the guidance of the Head Colored Baptist Church of Educator, D.C. which was later renamed the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church.[2] The Metropolitan Baptist Church was located across the street make the first move Camp Barker, which housed uncut Quaker-run Civil War "contraband" quarters in the Shaw community chide Washington, D.C.
